The philosophy chair on humanitarian faculties BGU has presented total the report of research work for 2006-2008. The basic theme of research was «a life Problem in philosophy». The urgency of its working out is caused by that it always took the central place in philosophy. The doctrine about life - «Ontology» has drawn attention of all thinkers. And it is not casual. As it has fundamental value for understanding of deep bases of human life and all mankind. Ability to live of the person, as a rule, is based on simple and easily understood preconditions. Among them the natural belief of the person that the world is is universal, exists and always keeps the relative stability as whole. In modern conditions when danger of thermonuclear war, and the economic crisis is mentioned by bases of the further existence of mankind, weight the world faces to a dilemma «to be or not to be». Thereupon there is a necessity to add simple vital representations about life with deep philosophical reasons about it. Further the theme "Life" takes the major place in a philosophy course, therefore its research can useful and in improvement of teaching of philosophy.
In 2008 as a research theme it was defined: « Universal communications of life ». All teachers of chair carried out - scientific work on this problematics, and have written articles. As a whole the report for 2008 covers the following. For deep understanding of the modern maintenance of concept of life it is necessary to track its statement and decisions in history of philosophical thought which has been carried out in conformity with the general a level of development and welfare conditions. Along with them outlook of this or that thinker and character of a philosophical current to which it belongs the such made important impact on life research. At the present stage of social development research of philosophical aspects of life would continue to remain actual. Considering this moment the theme -« Universal communications of life »- has been included in the plan of research works of chair for 2008. As is known dialectics-doctrine about universal communications of life. These communications are reflected in laws and dialectics categories. As a whole dialectics categories distinguish universality, attribution, intrinsic and polar character. All these and other questions, lives concerning universal communications were in the centre of attention employees of chair.
