In 2008 Teachers-professors of department of history of philosophy and culturologists, according to calculated in 2006-2008 years to problem research «Globalizations, philosophies of the countries of the East and the West and integration of cultural urological thought», conducted scientifically research work in mentioned below directions: 
Merits of the leader of the Azerbaijan people, the outstanding statesman G.Aliev in synthesis of values of the East and the West, preservation of national cultural wealth and development of political consciousness, philosophical thought were comprehensively analyzed; the comparative analysis of philosophy of the East and the West is given; questions of globalisation and dialogue of cultures are studied; questions of process of globalisation in national culture. To an education system of Azerbaijan during modern time; a problem of influence of currents of east philosophy on existentialism. Further the concept of synthesis of a science and religion, methodological problems of studying of a principle of inheritance between east and western philosophy have been investigated. One of researchers of chair has devoted the work to questions of gender equality in an education system.

In 2017, the professor-teaching staff of the Department of Philosophy History and Cultural Studies conducted scientific research in accordance with the problem of "Philosophical idea of the postmodern era: main ideas and tendencies" for 2015-2017

The study of the essence of postmodernism, which is a multidirectional and complex transformation of the Western philosophy and humanitarian-social idea at the beginning of the 21st century in research work in the second half of XX century. The study focuses on the peculiarity of the development of postmodernism philosophy in the context of changes in the twentieth century, the specificity of the attitude towards religion and tolerance in postmodernism philosophy of postmodernism and the philosophy of modern religion, and the study of the philosophical heritage of prominent postmodernist ideas. The sphere of influence of postmodernism in art, the trends of postmodernism in the art of Azerbaijan are studied. An analysis of the problem of rationalism, psychotropicism and the threat of morality in terms of the importance of studying the problem of ethics and morality in postmodernism in the context of modern thinking crisis is of particular importance.
