DEPARTMENT HISTORY

The department of pedagogy functioned as independent department as a part of the Azerbaijan State University named S.М. Kirov (nowadays BSU) in 1940-1960.
The department of "Pedagogy and psychology" was created on the basis of 2 departments of "logicians and psychology" and "pedagogics" in 1960.
The department of pedagogy functions as independent department since 1991.

The chief of department was Mammedali Maharremov in 1960-1970.
The chief of department was Akbar Bayramov in 1971-1991
Prof.Nubar Mukhtarova is the chief of department since 1991.
