Some of the department teachers defended their theses and received corresponding scientific degrees. For instance, R. M. Hasanov received the scientific degree doctor of Sociological Sciences, Y. N. Aliyeva became the candidate of Sociological Sciences. Author of dissertation of the department S. N. Aliyeva defended her dissertation for obtaining the scientific degree candidate of Sociological Sciences. Instructor F. R. Khalilova after completing her work on her dissertation introduced it to the Supreme Attestation Commission. Department members - professors I. A. Rustamov, K. Azimov, acting professor R. M. Hasanov, associate professors F. Vahidov are supervising the scientific works of the candidates for a degree and post-graduate students (in general, more than 20 people). In the School periodically take place the scientific-practical conferences on the theme “XX century: views and outlooks” for the teachers and post-graduate students.
