Department of Sociology

In 1990 at the School of History of Baku State University was announced the entrance exams to the following specialties: Sociology-History, Psychology-History-Social Psychology, History-Ethno-psychology.
In 1991 on the basis of these specialties was established the new School of Social Sciences and Psychology involving the specialties - Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, and Economic Theory.
In 1992 was announced the entrance exams to the specialty Theory of Socio-Political Relations. Later it was renamed to specialty Political Science.
Consequently, at the university was established the educational-scientific structure (School) preparing the cadres on five new specialties.
