short biography
Since 1965 he has been working in the Department of Philosophy of BSU. Since 1995 is a professor of the department. He is a member of the Russian Society of Philosophy and is in close contact with a number of influential international scientific organizations.
Professor A. B. Mamedov is the author of more than 350 scientific and methodical articles, 40 monographs and textbooks. Two books with 45 printed pages were published in Moscow.
More than 15 scientific articles published abroad. In the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology, as well as in other faculties, he teaches the following subjects: “Philosophy”, “Philosophical Problems of Natural Sciences”, “Modern Natural Science”, “Ontology and Theory of Knowledge”, “Cognitive Roles of Philosophical Principles”, “Essence rationality and stages development ”“ Universal relations of existence ”, etc. He is effectively working on the development of scientific personnel in philosophy.
Under his leadership, he defended 8 candidate and 2 doctoral dissertations. Currently defended Ph.D. thesis 5 doctoral students.
Professor A.B.Mamedov is an academician of the International Academy of Sciences, the Eurasian Academy of Management Sciences and the Academy of Eco Energy.
The creative activity of Professor A. Mamedov as a research scientist and philosopher is wide and diverse. This activity can be divided into the following areas: the study of the philosophical problems of physics; the study of the conceptual foundations of modern science; research of the cognitive theory and methodology of scientific knowledge; research of complex systems; synergistic studies on cortical systems; anthropological research.
Participated in conferences held in the former USSR, in the CIS countries, as well as international conferences held in Baku.
A number of works were published in London, Moscow, Rostov, Almaty and other countries.

From 1995 to the present, he is a professor in the department of philosophy.
