In 1996-1970 years - Employees of department worked over research on a theme "Questions of communistic education at the Soviet school".
In 1970-1990 years - "Actual problems of pedagogics of the higher school".
In 1990-1996 years - "Modern problems of ethnopedagogics".
In 1996-2006 years - Researchers conducted scientific work in 4 directions: "History of development of pedagogical thought", "General education Pedagogics", "Higher school Pedagogics" and "Ethnopedagogics".
In 2006-2008 years - "Actual problems of pedagogics of average and higher schools".
In 2009-2011years - Research "Education in the conditions of globalisation of schoolboys and student's youth on the basis of national moral values" is planned.
